From Fragmented to Future Ready

Right now, Australia’s research system is not working as well as it should — and it is holding us back. Funding is too fragmented, there is a lack of coordination and incentives are not working as they should. In this four-part series, we look at how to simplify and better coordinate our research ecosystem, strategies for creating the research workforce we need now and into the future, how to facilitate more and deeper collaboration with industry (particularly SMEs) and we examine the value of international collaboration in enhancing research impact and quality.
