Universities Australia notes the Government’s intention to update and modernise the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency’s (TEQSA) legislative powers.

Australia’s universities are calling on participants in this week’s Economic Reform Roundtable to put skills and research at the centre of the economic reform agenda.

An alliance of nearly 30 groups representing Australia’s small, medium and large businesses, universities, farmers, retailers, pharmacies and the investment community is calling for red-tape tape reduction, planning and major project approvals reform, an innovation agenda, and a process for productive tax reform that doesn’t raise costs for consumers or businesses, ahead of the Economic Reform Roundtable.
