The University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) is a young, ambitious university driven by the belief that community and culture is just as important as a world-class education.
Our youth has allowed us to foster a dynamic, progressive environment where we push the boundaries of research, champion sustainability, and produce gold-winning athletes and award-winning alumni.
We’ve grown exponentially since 1996, with award-winning facilities spanning five campuses along the South East coast of Queensland and our newest campus in Adelaide which
opened in 2024.
Our campus footprint allows us to remove barriers to education for thousands of first-in-family and mature-age students. At UniSC, our students are supported to succeed. Among public universities in Queensland we are ranked first for overall undergraduate educational experience, and second for overall postgraduate educational experience. Underpinning this is excellent teaching and industry connections. We have a five-star rating for teaching and our students graduate work-ready through hands-on learning across over 150 programs.
We’re the world’s only university operating within three UNESCO Biosphere Reserves and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which grants us a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with local leaders and communities on research, teaching and education projects to protect and enhance these areas of international significance.
In the 2024 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, UniSC is the top ranked Queensland university, and first in Queensland for ‘Climate Action’ and ‘Zero Hunger’.
We’re tackling some of today’s most pressing issues through research that focuses on ensuring healthier people, and a healthier planet.
We’re bringing about real impact and positive change through learning, teaching and research that helps move everyone forward.
At UniSC, we don’t just look towards tomorrow. We lead theway to creating a better tomorrow
