Fees for external examiners
Universities Australia regularly reviews the standard fees that it recommends universities pay to external examiners for Masters, PhDs, and Higher and Professional Doctorates.
Over the twelve months to the June 2024 quarter, the CPI rose 3.8% (ABS).
The recommended fees for 2025 are:
- $340 for Masters theses and non-research Professional Doctorates.
- $604 for Doctor of Philosophy theses, Higher Doctorates, and Professional Doctorates
