UA appoints new Executive Director, Strategic Communications

Universities Australia welcomes the appointment of Jenny Clark as the peak body’s new Executive Director, Strategic Communications.

Jenny is a highly experienced communications professional with a career spanning more than 20 years in a range of high-level positions in government and business.

Universities Australia Chief Executive Catriona Jackson said: “Jenny is one of the best in the business and I am delighted she has agreed to join the Universities Australia team.”

“Her extensive communications and advocacy experience will turbo charge our work to ensure the sector’s voice has maximum impact in the right places.”

“Jenny’s skills and experience will be an asset as universities strive to play the fullest role in national recovery, and continue to enrich the lives of so many Australians.”

During the past four years Jenny has led communications and government relations at the Business Council of Australia. Prior to that she was Assistant Secretary, Communications in Treasury, Senior Media Advisor to Prime Minister Turnbull, Press Secretary to Treasurer Joe Hockey and a member of the senior executive service of the federal public service in both Treasury and the ATO.

Jenny will take up her new role with Universities Australia in February 2022.
