Bondi is a devastating reminder of the very real harm that hatred can cause, and of the need to confront it wherever it happens.

Australia’s universities are doing that because we know that silence and complacency only allow hatred to grow.

Everyone on our campuses and in our classrooms has the right to feel safe, respected and included, regardless of their faith or background, and we’re doing everything in our power to ensure that.

We have been and will continue to engage with our students and staff, community partners, the special envoy and with governments to act against and stamp out antisemitism and all other forms of hatred we see in the community.
