“The 2024 ASEAN-Australia Special Summit has reinforced education’s central position in Australia’s foreign policy agenda,” Universities Australia Chief Executive Officer Luke Sheehy said.

“Educating skilled workers and collaboration in research is key to navigating the various changes in our economic and strategic environment, including climate change and regional security.
